Visits to prisons to secure the release of those unjustly imprisoned,  supply welfare materials to prisoners, and ensure that cases of inmates awaiting trial are timely considered

The Center for Human Rights Justice and Peace pays regular visits to the Nigerian Prisons in her jurisdiction. It pays fines for those convicted of misdemeanor. It takes up cases of inmates awaiting trial to ensure that justice prevails. It equally provides welfare materials like food, mattresses and other necessities to the prison inmates. It also responds to situations of emergencies according to their severity when reported by prison officer.  One key activity that the center does with the prisons is to enlighten the prisoners and the prison staff about the rights of the inmates as provided by law.
