Human Rights Awareness and Civic Education

It is a notorious fact that ignorance of the law is not an excuse for violation and knowledge is power. The Center for Human Rights Justice and Peace in a bid to empower the indigent intellectually and enlighten them on the provisions of the law and their rights and duties, often organizes workshops and seminars to educate people on different topics ranging from child marriage, rights and duties of citizens and other topics that affect or are related to them.

It also educates the Law Enforcement Agencies and the Local Chiefs on the fundamental rights of citizens and their role in protecting and preserving them. In a bid to achieve this it carries out advocacy visits to these people and bodies.

Center for Human Rights Justice and Peace organizes symposiums and invite key members of the society like the law enforcement Agents and Local Chiefs and enlighten them and broaden their minds through paper presentation on topics that border on human rights, civic education, justice and peace to equip them to efficiently carry out their roles and responsibilities.
